| 1972 | Suva with Murphys for the Arts Festival. Checked out a stamp display at the Cathedral Crypt. A gentleman explained the history of Fiji stamps. Bought some first day covers. Looked at a book display at the library. Ran into Dhir Singh (he hates Labasa and wants to be back at QVS) and his kiwi girlfriend, Susan (she knew all about Ghetto). Found out that Navitalai Naisoro is in Christchurch. Met Jan and Bryce Taylor, returning from NZ. Whites where we talked until 1AM. |

| 1974 | Smithers came for a meal and then we went to Parent Interviews until 7PM. Spoke to 30 parents. Eric Anderson came to watch the game. We beat Evergreen 33 - 26. Ended up with 6 points. Got kicked in the side on a layup (ref didn't call a foul). Couldn't sleep because of the pain. | |
| 1975 | Hargrove took Takito, Whites, Grants and us up the coast on his boat to Takito's black pearl farm. 3 hours - no road to the bay. Takito lives there 3 weeks then the 4th in Suva (using Dick's car). After we unloaded his supplies he showed us how he processes the pearls. He gave Gail an oyster with two blister pearls. Local Fijian maramas were having a fish drive. We almost caught a Saqa. Joined by Pravind Singh and family, Hargroves, Grants and Heasley for a barbecue. After eating we split into two groups playing cards. I played poker and trumps with Pravind. Gail and I played bridge with Ian and Don. Don set up his generator when the power went off at 11PM. | 1980 | Th - Ridgedale where I was given $3.50 to pay for removing a spot on the corduroy suit Joyce bought me last week. Southdale where I bought a grey herringbone jacket. Got all dressed up and took Joyce to eat at The Empress. Excellent food. Kids had their first Fortune Cookies. |  |
| 1998 | F - Doug over early to load his trailer while I got a 9' one from McEntee. Took us 4 hours to unload them at 33 Colombo where Pat was having trouble getting a muscle car onto a trailer because of its low clearance. Another 4 hours saw us bring a second load at 6PM. Laure came over after school and came to the house with Gail. Whites came over to help. KFC for everyone. Dropped Laure off at her place and then Ian and I brought a vanload over. |

| 2002 | Gail and I did the first mile of the Blair Pass Trail at Granite Mt. Ran across a few Plateau Striped Whiptail Lizards and saw Peregrine Falcons soaring by their cliff-face nests. Mexican on way home - I had a fajito and Gail had a taquito (little taco). Joyce happy as Patty has found a beautiful apartment for a reasonable price in New Ulm. |  thin lizzy |
| 2022 | Su - Opened a 2017 Mount Edward Riesling for supper. AFL: Melbourne 9-22-76 over Cats 8-6-54. Should have gone to bed. Warriors lost 29 - 10 to Sharks who had 12 players for 63 minutes and 11 for 10 minutes. | |
| 2023 | M - Finally, sun after two weeks. Walked to surgery to hear about Kevin's childhood desserts made in an Aga. Gym and pool (8). AFL: Port 83 - Saints 76. | |
