1958	Jeanie and Eloy's wedding in St Mary's Catholic Church at Bechyn. The reception was held at the Orchid Inn in Sleepy Eye.

1971	Talatala had a good story about a guy from outer islands who got onto a bus and stayed on as it kept going round and round Rewa St. He thought it wouldn't go to Rewa until it had filled up with passengers. Boring party at Whites with Atmores, McDougalls, Brian and Singh. I stayed until 2AM. Colleen gave me a good warning - that everyone back in Minnesota will find it hard to understand how I have changed from being in Fiji.
1975	David and I walked to PO, Hardware Hank, gas company (pay bill) and lumber yard to ask Mark if he could help with the crates. It began snowing at 3PM. At 4PM we drove to Monte to arrange U-haul trailer hire and got back to Dawson at 30mph before the roads were closed.
1976	First radio broadcast at Rosehill. We set up in the B-block cleaners' room and put the speaker out the window. Sound test at morning interval and we went "live" at lunch. Paul Harnett forced the door open, so I dragged him in and gave him a royal chewing out. Main complaint from students was that they couldn't understand the djs, but loved having music. 1980	W - Looked at slides. Great "Thanksgiving" supper. Games and opened Christmas gifts with Aldies (card). I got a cribbage board. Gave Doug a "Surf" aftershave, a large plastic tooth, a Beatles album, joggers soap, bubblegum album and floss sticks. Gave Trish How to Live with a Neurotic Dog. Mom stopped in for an hour.
1984	M - Two hours watching Frank's slides of his European trip. Gail went to a housewares party at Schwitters run by wife of Gerry Spiess, the solo sailor.
1994	Watched Roy Jones Jr flash around the ring to win Super Middleweight championship over Toney (highlights).
2005	Brenda and Rich arrived around 9:30PM. Had a spell on deck looking at the stars as Rich teaches astronomy. Had a lovely visit until midnight. While in SI they kayaked in Milford Sound. They had their first taste of trifle and we all tried the Moldavian Cranberry liqueur that Brenda brought for me.
2010	F - Walked to Cairns Central shopping mall where Gail bought a white hat and Lee Child's 61 Hours. After a curry lunch (Gail warned that hers was HOT, but it wasn't - I had chicken and mango) at Curry D'Lites we did some grocery shopping. Played cribbage on the deck. Constant screaming and horns honking - found out later on news that Schoolies were celebrating. Despite a constant drizzle we had to use the outdoor pool before leaving. There were a few others doing the same. The temperature was cooler than our pool. Even the spa (as all others in the trip) was cold.	pigeons ??
2011	Sa - Measured and diagrammed the villa plan. 1640sqft or 156sqm including garage.
2017	Su - A Handful of Stars, ham supper, Stone Age and the dogs went home. I crushed at Swiss TTR. Gail went to bed. David and I tied at Plethora.
2021	F - Day 92 of Delta lockdown (4304 cases). Applied for and got my COVID vaccine pass.
