Said goodbye to Mike T and Collins. Slept in van on to airport. United 1770 to San Fran at 2:30PM arriving there at 3:20PM. 4 hour wait to get onto plane to Honolulu. Once on the plane we waited 90 minutes for a co-pilot to arrive (LA fogged in so our scheduled one couldn't make it).
In Hawaii I had to make a mad dash to get on NZ plane. Next to Herb Himelick, a landscape architect for Dupont. We talked plants, gardens and I helped him with itinery for 2 weeks in NZ.
Managed to sleep for a few hours. When I woke for breakfast found out that the plane diverted to Nadi as Auckland and CHCH closed. We sat in the plane on tarmac for an hour. |

Middlemore: old Samoan lady being moved out when I arrived, leaving Gail alone for the night. She had the fibreglass casts put on and she is now more mobile, using a walker to get to the bathroom. We called AA and had Gail answer their questions to get the claim moving along. Gail was able to vote from her bed. Over to meet Russell's son, James, with his thick Aussie accent. Picked up the ever faithful Houghton with supply of computer magazines for me. And then Michael. Colleen's for TP. |

W - Brought C & B to petanque - their first time. I later won over Anna and Ash. Brought the women for a stroll around the Mount (Bev's first time).
After supper we taught them Alhambra and Dominion. |

M - Walked to Farm Street for a B12. Gardeners removed large ugly evergreen out front and the scraggly kakabeak out back. Meanwhile, a roofer has been reparing tiles and repointing/painting grout. |
