1963	Brother Jerome gave out a class punishment: a 2500 word "Explication of Order in the Classroom".
1969	Sa - Hawaii: Dewali. Details in Peace Corps Journal.
1980	Sa - Bought beer, Drambuie and the liquour store fellow had to tell me all about how to use the Port-a-Tap and I had to shoot him down by telling him that we have had these in New Zealand for years.
1983	T - Dan Dolan team made a tour of the house in the morning. Connie came in the evening and we put house for sale at $72,500 [ed. - eventually got $68,000 in March 1985].
1986	Sa - Simpsons' to see a Kon-Tiki promo video that had them in it. Looked at the their slides from the European trip. Nadine, Delwyn and Russell were also over and we had a good time.
1997	Sa - Laure dropped off by Bill Roberston (Bruce's brother). She and Gail brought branches to Aldies - but chain up (and key missing from its hiding place). Home to call and found out that they had been at the airport - Trish to Timaru. So off they went only to find chain still up and Doug's car on the road, so they came back home. Played Upwords with Gail and Laure, then jarts. Much discussion about English pronunciation until supper. Yuki and Chi came in time to look at Ne's pictures of Paris and have birthday cake and ice cream with Laure (18 tomorrow). Usual crowd at Aldies. Got the Jap girls playing pool straight away. Had the fireworks outside of the house. Rain let up at around 9:30PM we got the fire going. Good Guy effigy, fire and more fireworks. Gail brought Jap girls home. Ne and I brought Laure home (Waiua Pa) who thanked me for "releasing" her from her prison at Roberston's.
2008	Off to hospital and who is in the other bed? Mrs Haddad and Sonja was there - married with kids and living in Todds' old place.
2011	T - Had Heather S over for the first time and she gave us a bottle of chardonnay. After 90 minutes of very enjoyable getting to know you we met Sam (cat) and had a tour of her yard and house.
2012	Th - Woke up to find the women playing Dominion! Shortly after the sisters left for Rotorua, Anna was over for Scrabble.
2016	T - Gail got home at 4:30AM for European trip. She had many stories, mostly about Colleen. Bought Klimt style jewelery, oversized doily, paprika and a Christmas thingie.
2020	Su - Walked to Fresh Choice. Lime scooters are everywhere.
2021	M - Day 81 of Delta lockdown (2713 cases). Walked to Farm Street and had 3 skin cancer spots on my right arm frozen.
