1977	Mrs Dent scared Gail last night at 2AM when she was prowling around with a flashlight.
1987	colspan="2"Aldersons came. We did a Coke® - Pepsi challenge [ed. - Pepsi ad: asked people to blind test and say which they preferred. There are people who can't tell them apart!].
1989	Stayed until 7PM with Leszek. Picked up Ian and Susi, a pot of coffee and we went to meet Beata (speaks very little English). I brought our camping table and lawn chairs. Got home at 8:30PM with two bags of scallops that Whites had gathered at Clark's Beach.
1991	Rented a computer. Lucky and I walked to Collins for a taco supper. Brought along a lovely Beringer Gamay Beaujolais. Saw Jim's Hopi carvings.
1997	Th - Day 73 of our 3 month journey around the world. Bill home from hospital.
2002	Ne and I stopped at Winthrop to get gas and bought Buster Bars at Dairy Queen. Ne was walking out and met Bob Gutzke coming in! They were on their way back from cities having picked up Louise this morning. Amazing coincidence. Got to Mom's at 3PM. Chris and Celia came by at 7PM for an hour.	Winthrop
2004	Brought Gail to airport. Check-in at 1PM only to wait in line for an hour (baggage conveyor system broken). From there it was straight up to the boarding and a rushed goodbye.
2011	Su - Cock and Bull for TP lunch. Ian and Kelcie stopped by to say "Hi". I had the delicious chicken cajun salad.
2012	T - Up and out with Ne and Colleen to Paradiso Cafe (Bethlehem) for brunch (had a BLAT). Ate outside and wandered through the shops. of Village @ 7. Then over to Te Puna Quarry to wander the lower trails and view the flowers. Also has a vaiety of artworks. Drove down a long road in search of fruit stands ending up at Waitui Beach. Last side trip was up to the Minden lookout which gives a great view. Bought oranges and avocados from a truck before heading home for drinks and cake and gifts for Colleen (75 today).
2013	W - Ne joined us at Colleen's for a Lindauer Pinot Gris before heading to Bluebiyou for a birthday meal. Poor Brazilian waitress alone and struggled, so when we finished the excellent Trinity Hills 2011 "Trinity" we left without dessert.
2016	Su - Willie and Sue over for a couple hours of trips stories.
2017	M - Colleen's. Her sister, Jenny, was there and Chris and Pippa showed up later. The girls are AFL fans so we something to talk about. Also discussed the airplane fuel problem while sipping a nice Pasqua 2016 Montepulciano D'Aruzzo. Off to Osteria where they didn't have any good chiantis so we settled for a Coupers Shed 2015 Syrah that was exceptional. Just for the fun of it I had a lasgane which was very different from Gail's - too runny (served with a spoon), too much tomato and hardly any meat. Had a chocolate cake with vanilla gelato for dessert.
2018	T - To Colleen's at 5:30PM for a drink (Wyndham 2016 Shiraz). Noisy Imbibe. Couldn't find our reservation so we had to wait for a table. Then manager moved us to a quiet corner. Ordered drinks. A long time later my Mill Reef Pinot Gris came. But no merlot-cbsav for Colleen. Told Michaela - nothing. We ordered our food and told her about the missing wine. Nothing. When the table next to us, who came after us, got their wine we told her again when she took our food orders. After the next door table got all of their food Gail asked to see the manager, Cherish. She listened, apologized and said our mains were free. She had Michaela bring us our bread and had her apologize. I had a Lake Chalice Pinot Noir. Pork had run out so I was given an extra prawn for my Land to Sea stonegrill. Finally leave at 9PM. I paid for the wine and when I get out into the rain and Gail says car won't open. It's dark so I try my fob and no go. I looked at the rego where there is a Honda emergency phone number and there isn't one. I looked for the slot to put the key in and there isn't one. Then I noticed a big scratch and the car is red. That's when it tweaked that it wasn't our car, which was next to it.
