| I went to school since it was last teaching day and I wanted to give my tests and it didn't require that I speak much.
After the first period I ran into Sean who asked me how I was doing. I admitted that I wasn't too hot, so he took me
to the hospital that was a surprize to me because it was hidden off the main road. The doctor actually said: "There's a lot
of that going around". Told me to not talk at all and gave me some tummy medicine. Sean stopped at the Dairy Queen
so I could get a malt and then to a store where I picked up more soup as the doctor said nothing solid.
Christmas Party In the evening the school's staff party was held in the communal garage on the staff compound.
I put on a real feeble attempt at mixing since I couldn't talk. Mr Hunt came with his wife and two kids.
Santa Claus showed up with a bag of gifts for the kids. There was a lot of singing and the Peace Corps gang got up
and did a hula. I enjoyed that. Barb and I went to Jean's house for a while and then rode back to Nanbu with Mrs
Hasegawa. |
