Shock a Shrink  Final evaluations and mine was with Moody, the Shrink. His main comment was that no one had anything to say about me, nor knew much about me. So I asked him what did he want to know? What were my plans? I laid it on him there and then. I was going to get married to my fiancé when I get out and settle down teaching. I laughed for weeks over the fact that I had been able to keep the engagment a secret from everyone including the great FBI who snooped around talking to all my friends, relatives and workmates.

Party time Costarios had a chow spread out in the garage where I joined Herb, Piper, Pete and Vicki. It was a dead and stifled affair. I really felt sorry as no one seemed to be having any fun. So after an hour I left and went to Fujioka's to find Pete and David. Things were really different there - they had finished eating but lots of Japanese tidbits were left to be tried. We sat around talking and joking a lot. We counted to ten in Russian, French, Latin, Spanish, Fijian, Hindi, German and were taught Japanese (itchy knee sun she go ... ishy nishy koo). The had dough with a tangerine placed on it on top of the TV. A modernized version of a Japanese tradition. Asaichi set off a ring of 1000 firecrackers exactly at midnight as did neighbors. I never`heard such a racket in my life. Within minutes we couldn't see for the smoke. We all spent the next half hour setting off anything that we could find including many Roman candles. From there we went to Ito's for drinks and cards.
