27th	28th	29th
1960	Su - Gary went to mass with me and Dad, then we went to the farm, stopping at Gaylord. We shot baskets, played catch and football. Daddy brought us to Bernie's in Lucan and we played pool. Gary and I explored most of the farm, then we played golf with Daddy. Went to church in Bechyn, then Charlie's where we played poker dice.
1974	Watched Papakura Town & Country Day parade (about 30 seconds long and I pretty much missed the Army band because I was in the wine shop). Ray Kelley came for a beer and a meal and then we drove down to the YMCA. Ray and Alfred came for beer and snooker.
1979	First trip to Henderson. Found the Square with shops. Lunch at McDonalds. Got a map of the Waitakeres at AA and made our way to Piha. Let the kids muck around on the beach. Climbed up to Tasman Lookout (Ne did it herself), watched surfers and saw a seal on the beach. Took the scenic drive back to Titirangi back to Henderson and on to Whenuipai in search of a motels until we were basically back in West Auckland so we ended up at the Glenview Motel.
1980	Th - Met Charlie when she brought inflatable munchkins for the kids. Went to Towns at 4PM for supper. They gave us a TV, ringer washer and barbecue.
1982	Sa - Bette and Frank Thomas arrived at 4:30PM with a bottle of maple syrup. Roast beef supper. Went to Washington County Park and walked around the pond. Then two hours of slides and stories from Fiji.
1984	T - NZ - Three interviews and I surprized Delwyn - Letter to Gail.
1985	W - Gail and kids went to Auckland with Ian and Mitchell and saw "Never Ending Story". Played MAD boardgame. Heasley called from So Island - he didn't take Ian's carton of cigarettes. We played Trivial Pursuit.
1990	Phoenix, stopping at Horse Thief Basin. We dropped Dick off for tests at a hospital, then over to Putt 'n Stuff where we golfed in 95°F heat with Joyce following us around (video). Lovely course - old west/desert theme. Market Mall for lunch. Found tramping shorts at Sears. Picked up Dick and then a tearful "goodbye" at the airport. We left on American West 586 at 5:16PM arriving in Twin Cities at 10:20PM. Had a very good Inglenook California Blush. Met by Mom and Bob. Chris arrived just as we were leaving, so David and I rode with him in his Saab that he treats like a truck - filled with tools. Heard all about his problems and new life as a maintenance man. David in mom's spare bedroom, Gail and I in a new bedroom in the basement and Ne on the floor.

1999	Sa - Aldies for an evening with Doug's cousin, Doug Irwin, his fiancé, Linda Sullivan; his daughter Katie and her friend Amy. David drove himself out from Waiuku. Doug now has an electric guitar.
2000	M - Filled up van on way to Brundell's. Grace let me have a couple pies for free since it was closing time.
2004	Leaking water pipe on back fence that I needed to mend straight away. Turned around, there is Brundell without a mouse. Searched the net and sent him on his way to buy one. Ian visited. Brundell came around for supper with a bottle of 2004 Kim Crawford Chardonnay that had no oak and was sweetish. He joined in a game of Scrabble while we watched Welcome to the Jungle.
2006	Darryl from Mayfair stopped in and figured around $35,000 to fiberglass the pool.
2009	F - Russell and I had to wait 20 minutes for Ann's chicken burger to be made, meanwhile our Frosticino warmed and melted. Then when we get back from Wendy's Russell had to find his drunken father, who checked himself out of the "care home" the day after being put in. Mike's for TP.
2011	Su - Newsy called. Ian came after supper for an evening of Dominion.
2012	T - Shirley Williamson showed us 3B Ngarimu and 5A Bedford. Anna and Jill over for a visit.	3B
2016	Su - Got to Russell's at 2:15PM and we made it to the game just as lower grade game finished a 24 all tie. I walked down to The White Lady to get great hamburgers. Bit dizzy after climb back up from ground level. The big boys' game was 24 all with 15 to go. A Johnson weaving try was disallowed on a questionable call. Then they lost and are knocked out for the season. Russell very upset with players, but his unbuilt house in Te Kawhata keeps going up in value. Amazing how no matter the traffic, it is always a 2 hrs and 15 minutes drive.
2018	T - Honda Tauranga where I let Des sell me a 2016 Jazz RS. Had to get a new WOF as 2 tyres were dicey - but they passed.
2019	W - We had affagotos with Colleen after a curry meal.
