Th - Worst fog I have ever seen - 20ft limit. Staff party with Gag dressed up as Santa. Singing telegram female gorilla showed up and made comments about each of the
management team (Chapman being a hunter / Hoeschen should have been a doctor - no one can read his writing / McMonigal is a sugar freak). Al traded his '82 wagon for an '82 Granada and spent the day bragging about it. Fran hurt because no one said anything
about her grits. Chris gave everyone an ornament with our name on it. Pat Marzoff gave each of us a small stocking filled with a candy cane. Home at noon. |

M - Went to Alexandra Park for the trots for the first time. Bumper Sticker Kids got a ride on
a pony outside so we missed the rodeo parade which was five guys carrying flags and about ten girls dressed up as cowgirls. On the fence for the first two races, then moved up into the grandstand for a couple more. Kids room with all kinds of activities and a ventriloquist that Ne enjoyed. |
|
1986 |
T - Clark's for a barbecue on their new $660 propane gas one. Sophie tore into the gifts. Mike gave me an '82 Blass Cab-Sav, Gail a vase, a cat that hangs on edges for Ne and NZ MonopolyŽ for David. After the meal everyone took turns playing Guess Who,
Ne's new game that she bought yesterday. We tackled Monopoly while Sandy put Sophie to bed. Gail kept moving my wheelbarrow so I gave her the big cup with feet that we gave to Sophie. We gave Sandy a recipe book and I gave Mike a tape of "Fire!"
by Crazy World of Arthur Brown" that I had requested 1ZM to play. |

Little David got all Donald Duck stuff. Doug wore the "Don't Worry, Be Happy" shirt we gave him (video). We shot out to Maraetai (30Km gusts) and had the beach to ourselves. Steve working at mill cleaning for 6 days. |
1993 |
Dad, Cabernet and I walked around the block (so I was out with two "Cabbies"). Doug over for R 'n R TP. He totalled his blue wagon and bought an '87 Toyota. Watched our 1990 US trip video with Dad. |

On the road by 8AM and 7 hours later we were in Sydney. Stopped at Karuah for a quick lunch.
Missed the bridge so we used the tunnel. But that meant that we got lost. However, it was an easy fix and we found the Citigate Sebel with no other troubles.
Parked in the basement ($20) and set up in room 204. Walked up Albion Street to have a gander at Chris and Ang's place. Then continued around the block until Gail bought
some supper at Golden Pide. We had a swim in the heated pool and soak in the spa. |
2008 |
Wheeled Gail down for her first look at her veggie garden in 2 months. |
2010 |
Th - Trish went to work only to have the Police called when she told off a family. Playing Scrabble with David when Trish called and said pack up and bring him to Manurewa. Then minutes later it was don't - he was to stay overnight and we bring him tomorrow.
Ian came for a swim. Taught David Sequence and when Ian came we tried him out at Dominion but it was too much for him. I won two of the three games, with my new strategy of get money... |
