Billy Goat Falls 10 Jan 1987 - 9 Dec 2009
1987 - Girls went up Webb Creek to Billy Goat Falls with 2 rangers and a few other kids.  Gail and dogs lasted first stage with us before turning back.  Dogs kept runnning to and fro between the leader and Gail never stopping once for a rest. Was a tough uphill struggle for me, but David and Mike had no trouble. Could see down the valley from several view points. Made it to top of Billy Goat Falls (3 levels). We scrambled over and down them for some breathtaking views.

After lunch we strolled across the top before hitting a long descent to the Tawarewa Dam which is long time collapsed.  Interesting trail down following a creek filled with a growth that changed from green to blue to purple to grey.  Five hour hike and I slept when we got back to camp.

2009 - 22 years later and I was still able to do the whole circuit. This time with David. Bush has grown very high and thick and very view scenic views and only a brief glimpse of the middle falls from the trail. We didn't go to the falls area, just did the trail.
