	Hug Week Begins
1966	We left our camp, worked our way through corn fields and ended up at Davis Lake where we spent the day fishing and then slept (or tried to) in the open under the stars that night on a sheet of plastic with no covers.
1974	Went to see Gail afterwards and found Trish and Kathy yakking away. Sanders brought over hand-adzed kauri cradle for David (gave it away on 2022). We broke open a bottle of a dry Waihirere '72 claret.
1975	Up extension ladder to scrape Kylberg's house for a total of 4 hours. Adult night at public pool (50¢/person). David spent an hour in the wading pool until he turned blue. We were in the big pool with the Klybergs and two ladies. Six people and 3 life guards.
1980	T - At 2:30PM we went to Twin Lakes for swimming and to use David's inflatable boat and raft. Spent an hour in the warm water. Had lots of fun and came home at 5PM. Called Angi to tell her that I had a job and turns out she got a today job at Northwestern Bank.
1981	W - Called dad about financing a mortgage. Connie brought us to show Gail the house on Iden and since it was assumable I told her to make an offer. Called Joyce and she said she would loan us $3000 we need for the down payment. Roxane came at 8PM and showed us their photos of NZ trip. Was good to see Murphys, Beckingsales, Sanders and Aldies (tape).
1982	Th - Streasick's. Kids played with neighbor's dog, Corky. Sat outside while Chuck tried to cook chicken on his new Webber. Meal inside and dessert outdoors while listening to them talk about each others spending habits.
1988	OZ trip: Moree to Gold Coast. Go to Trip Report
1989	Whites came with Loata Tute, a university student. Ian loving teaching - class of 18 and no homework. After a barbeque (video) we played bridge sipping an Esk Valley '88 Sauvignon Blanc. Loata played cards with Ne. Kids and David played boardgames (video). Gifts (video) for Susi. Cake. Chardy and balloon (video).
1994	Varcoe man took the Gentle Annie (washing machine) away for repair. The hot water tap leaked so I had to turn water off at street. Tap is so old that there is no parts for it, so I capped it.
1997	T - Day 8 of our 3 month journey around the world. See 1997 Trip Photo Journal.
1999	Th - Doug over for Music Mania and we finished listening to my albums after 5 years. Doug said that at his deathbed he would want Pat, the boys and me.
2001	Needham's with Gail and we played Upwords with Ne. Soak in the spa tub.
2004	Ian and Susi split a couple rubbers of bridge while he downed Midori/coconut/pineapple/rum Splice and much Wild Turkey (his favorite booze). Listened to the Twins' Lausch throw third consecutive shut out (1st time) as they downed KC 12 - 0.
2007	Nesian Mystic played before the game. Cheerleaders out of red and white and now into more proper black uniforms. Ann won two tickets to Aug 27th game (Sunday Herald promo). Great game and easy win for the Warriors, with the highlight being Witt's 100% conversion rate over past few games.	McKinnon
2011	F - Larry brought Fairburn's latest offer and I made another counter-offer. O'Connors have also made an offer, but it is lower than Fairnburns. Saw Steve about my back scar that is not healing. Then Russell, Owen and I went to the Warriors game and watched the under 20's come back to win, as did the big boys against the Bulldogs 36 - 12 (from 0 - 12). Cold night, but I survived and found a $20 note on way out - security guard said "finders keepers". Letter from Social Security telling me I qualify for Medicare when I hit 65 (but only if living in States).
2019	M - Up at 6:10AM so we could be rolling at 7:45AM. Got to Hamilton Hospital early for my radioactive injection. Had a rest and then off to meet Pauline and Mike who are in throes of moving house. Mike full of stories (collects reference books - his whole body falling apart). After a lunch we went back to Nuclear where I had a 30 minute bone scan.
2020	W - Bay Audiology to be tested by Steven and order hearing aids. He told me that the aid blended in nicely with my "silver" hair.
2022	F - Brought Gail to hospital where Mia said all was good with the pacemaker. Listened to the Twins lose to Texas while painting a portrait. AFL: Port upset Swans 82 - 59.
