1964	Brought Signe to see "Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" at the Cooper Theater for her birthday. (trailer).
1975	Shovelled out to the front sidewalk and to the garage. Four foot snow drifts. A heavy shovel and a very sore left arm. Borrowed Krugerud's aluminum shovel and cleared out the car.
1986	F - Alan and I went to a luncheon put on by Barsons. I sat with Maragret Matenga's [ed. - NZ netball] sister, Linda, who is head of Info Center at Air NZ. Had a good meal and good conversation with a very good Montana Sav Blanc. Mayor Tim Shadbolt gave a funny talk on how he ended up being in charge of $450 million.
2008	Beautiful flower arrangement from the Breezes. Brought Gail into physio and we had an ice cream cone before heading home. Watched The 4400 and The Unit.
2010	Su - We left Ingham. Just a short (108Km) drive to Townsville. We were going to have a look at Jourama Falls but the road ended at an overflowing ford which we decided Gail couldn't attempt without a walking stick. So we had a couple hours to kill before we could check into The Oaks on Palmer. Walked around the waterfront gardens and had lunch at the Reef HQ - I had a tortellini and Gail had gnocci (I noted that there weren't any fish items on the menu). Joan, who sold us our tickets to the aquarium was from Kapiti and so we talked to her awhile. Around ten smaller specialty displays and two large tanks viewed in a tunnel or from above. Volunteer guide, Chris, attached herself to Gail so we found out a lot about the fish, but only little about the coral. We hung around to watch the feeding at 2:30PM. Gail bought a scarf. Into our room on 4th floor and we went for a swim in the lap pool. Spa was actually warm. Felt a little out of place as we drove to the top of Castle Hill while hundreds of others were walking or running up and down the 2.9Km road. After walking to a few lookouts we headed down and out to the wetlands at Town Common. Unfortunately, it closed at 6:30PM leaving only half an hour to do a short hike to a viewing platform.
2011	M - Shane showed us livingroom stuff at Big Save (took us a while to find it). Hawaiian calendar and note from Jane. Out again to look at Greenslades and Target Furniture before ordering a "Grace" 2-seater and 3-seater lounge suite.
