1969	Hawaii: first day of training. Details in Peace Corps Journal.
1971	Grog party singing until 1AM. Taped some of the chat with Jemesa, Suli, Dhir, Josua R and Koresi.
1973	Did my first oil painting and I like the smoothness of application and blending over that of acrylic.
1993	Called to organize my knee op and was told they could do it today. I said "no thanks" and it will be next week.
2010	W - Ken and Colleen brought us out to Omokoroa where we strolled down Walnut Grove and then along the cliff top, before checking out Omokaroa Country Estate there. Simon Duncan showed us around. Couple brand new ones for over $500,000 and then older ones accordingly priced. Very nice place but the flowers really got to me. Home for lunch and then we drove to the end of Ocean Beach Road (Papamoa) and got out to wander on the beach. Drove past Vision Papamoa place which not only has the ugly architecture but is also in an industrial area. Drove through the back streets to get back to Ocean Shores. Sandy Quigley showed us around. At one place the wife remembered the Atmores from Home Care days. Had a Famous Grouse then went to Hasan Baba for a "birthday" meal. Colleen very disappointed that we were the only ones (one couple sat and left without ordering). We were served by a 10 year boy with impeccable manners who liked to make jokes and said "cool" a lot.
