1969	Branley's with Dick and Cheryl as Mary leaves for University at Moorehead tomorrow.
1972	Mitchells brought their egg order over, so we had them in for a drink. Spy movie, The Man Outside at Breezes.
1974	US exchange student, Bill Reeder, over for a meal. He and I went to the Y to watch Tauranga and Hastings game. Alfred brought Gail and David down and we all watched So Auckland lose championship game to Buller by 16.	Bill
1979	F - Talked to Barry B about Anton Welsh (who left school because of bullying), then Colin and Robyn joined in and talked about the boy who had an arm broken yesterday by a Māori extortion gang.
1981	M - Strom's for hamburgers. Nice time - Jeff, 10 years, likes to talk and we heard all about his Legos.
1985	Sa - Reg Briggs brought us for a second look at 62 Beach Road and we decided to make an offer.
1986	Su - Kids went around with wagon collecting stuff put out for inorganic collection: blackboard, shelf unit, particle board, beach umbrella and a huge roll of Macintosh wrap paper [ed. - been using it to wrap gifts and still have half left on that roll in 2022 - but disintegrating]. They built a fort with Lees out back using the stuff.
1990	Angi whipped up a sloppy joe lunch. Called mom to say goodbye. Horrendous 8-lane traffic creeping along (video), so we got Hobby International late and then since we were flying overseas there was much paperwork and the bags needed to be inspected [ed. - this was way before 9/11]. Just made it onto United 163 to Denver and only time for a short tearful goodbye. 90 minutes in Denver before flying to San Fran on UA 437. An hour later we were on a jam packed UA 817 to Honolulu. Just like a month earlier in the same Honolulu airport, David runs into a boy from Rosehill!
1991	Joyce called from Minnesota - having a ball with sisters. Mom called - not having fun; basement flooded. Walked to Watson Lake lookout where a couple boys told me about the lake. Continued on to the rec park and found the dam.
1996	Sa - Hare's Maraetai bach with Whites to join Aldies. Walked to Omana Beach and left Susi there picking oysters and watercress. Videoed Doug windsurfing. David, Matthew and I pitanqued sand castles. After supper Chinese Checkers and Trvial Pursuit with Villa Maria '95 Gerwurtztraminer.	Omana
2001	Doug and Marcia over - had a bottle of Corbans 2000 Chardonnay before heading to the library for the Waiuku Tennis Club's Trivial Pursuit evening. A great Matua Valley '98 Pinotage Cabernet Sauvignon helped us on our way to first place.
2010	T - Ian came over after school for a game of Dominion, which Gail won.
2011	W - Called Russell to wish him a "Happy".
2012	F - Anna's for a Danish open sandwich lunch with Jill. Bornholmer Akvavit. Lots of good banter while bouquets of flowers kept arriving at the door.
2013	Sa - David and I played regular croquet game and then golf croquet. Called Russell to wish him a "happy".
2015	M - SpecSavers where I was helped by Russell (board gamer), short Sarah, petite Kath (advised eye oinment - dry eyes) and Brits Danni and Glenn. All that just to get reading glasses ($310).
2016	W - Went to Anna's for her 93rd. Edo, Beryl, June and Ron (played piano for us) and Christa. We had a cheescake with tea. Listened to the Twins lose to KC (Dozier had 3 homers 36,37,38).
