1969	Gail and I picked an engagement ring then Putt-Putt. Must've been in shock from the jewelers as she tied me at 50 and then beat me 48-45 and 50-40.
1979	Th - I fell asleep in the Stationery Room at 12:15PM and woke at 1PM to find the school empty. There had been a bomb scare and no one knew that I was missing. I thought I was late to class because there was no one around. Police searched the school - if there had been one and in the St-Rm it would have gone off.
1981	Su - Cathy Reis visited and we gave her the stained glass window. Mom over with Roberta and Brandon (photo). We looked at latest batch of slides. Managed to clear garage enough to get the car inside.
1982	M - Furnace cleaned ($82.50).
1986	Sa - Gail felt faint - resting a couple times before she did faint in the bathroom and hit her head on the floor. She recovered in a few minutes and seemed okay.
1991	Sisan irons delivered - but not as great as claimed on TV, eh? Joyce no better and just lying in her bed, so I convinced her to let me bring her to Dr Dahn who put her into hospital for observation for emphysema and racing heart. I called Gail to tell her the latest. Then I brought clothes and toiletries to Joyce and visited for 30 minutes.

1999	M - Checked out hot pools at Athenree. Did the Kati Kati Bird Gardens. Only ones there (off season) - just us and the birds. Pretty rundown and not like the brochure. Had to stop in Tauranga to get instructions and made our way across the toll bridge to Atmores in time for supper - excellent '96 McGuigan Brothers Black Label red.
2009	Su - Ian told us about his Sibelius adventure in Wellington. Watched Key on Letterman.
2010	M - DVDs (Joyce's funeral and Mom's last year) from Chris. Angi and Carl called. The big call from Sillars who said that Gail smiled and that the surgery went well. So I went in to see her in the HDU (two nurses, Sarah and Faye watching over her). Face bloated, eyes slits and lips dry, but she was alert and could laugh and seemed to be in now pain. Stayed for a couple hours.
2012	Th - Ian arrived with a stevia plant. After Chinese we played the Dark Ages version of Dominion while downing Balvenie Doublewood.
2017	W - Gail got me a robe from Hospice Shop. She left for Auckland at 11AM. Visiting Trish and Emery and then airport at 10PM. Ladies back at 1:30AM and we went over to 3B to find out what else had been taken.
2018	Th - PM Jacinta on Colbert show.
2022	T - Ian and Susi arrived at 3PM so spent the rest of the day catching up. His emails to me never arrived. Lasange meal with a dry 2019 Church Road Syrah. Trifle for dessert.
2023	W - Terraforming Mars and then I won at "Dog Park". Finished reading Cockroaches. Watched Zoo.
