27th	28th		29th
1969	Gail and I visited my aunt Jeanie and family in Sleepy Eye (called uncle Bernie from there to say my 'goodbye') and then her grandma Krohn in Lafayette. Our families are from same area in Minnesota.
1974	Owen (in sports jacket) and Mary over for the evening.
1975	On the road at 11AM. Stopped at Granite Falls. At Olivia we turned south and went through Beaver Falls which is now a Renville County Park. Checked out the family farm. Sunflowers right up to the barn. New wide highway from North Redwood to Redwood Falls. Grandpa Johnson's place in Winthrop. A beautiful building with oak woodwork and built in cabinets. Eloy's for a chat and picked up Science Fiction paperbacks. Final stop was Jerry's. He and Opal look good. Found out about the kids and looked at photos of Maxine's wedding and Steve's of Vancouver. 1976	Smithers over for a meal and showed us his slides of England and Europe.
1985	Sa - Listened to Timeless Hits. Evening with the Alderson's. James had lots of fun with the puppies. After supper we looked at slides.
1997	Su - Day 83 of our 3 month journey around the world. See 1997 Trip Photo Journal.
1999	T - Gail and I climbed Mount Maunganui (Mauoa). Long white sand on one side and Tauranga on the other. Back to Atmores for lunch. Then we walked around the "city center" - changed greatly in the 21 years since we were last there. After drinks we went to Hasan Baba for Turkish meals. Atmores have many funny stories fueled on by a very good '98 Longridge Gerwurtztraminer and an excellent '96 Lindemans Shiraz.
2001	F - Ann Emery and Chris over to help Gail and Ne help White's shift to Valley Rd. Meal with all the Whites, plus Leah (last day in NZ) and Scott. Back to bed until Roché and Shirley came for TP.
2008	Kjell stopped in with a bunch of items from Bechyne, Czech Republic. Ian biked up to say "goodbye" as he is off to South Island for 10 days.
2010	T - Ascot where Gail was unplugged and free to roam. But she was in bed awaiting dinner. I sang Trish's song (see and hear) to Gail, which made her happy.
2012	F - Showed Ian 3B Ngarimu then we checked out the Hospice shop. Played Dogfight. Had a fantastic Tegole 2009 Sangiovese Toscana with a chicken supper. More Dark Ages Dominion - poor Ian has lost all 9 games, so far.
2016	W - Colleen W called from Bev's - over from OZ to watch grandchildren for 3 weeks.
2019	Sa - Vicky and Morris brought Gail to Baypark Arena for "Tarnished Frocks and Divas" that Bronwyn was in, as were Jackie Clarke and Annie Crummer. I guess it was about women over forty.
2022	W - Walked the beach via Pacific Coast boardwalk with Ian. Played Finca. Kwang Chow for a meal (Susi really packed it away) with a very sweet Grant Bruge 2021 Shiraz (Barossa Ink). New owners and the coffee was instant!!! Great company and many laughs. Home to play Finca again while sipping an Arran Gold cream liqueur. And once again I won. Ian and I then chatted until 12:30AM.
2024	Sa - 90 minute walk to Pacific View. Watched AFL Grand Final live. First place Swans expected to have an easy win. But the Lions had other plans and scorched them 120 - 60 in front of 100,000. Making Chris Fagan the 1st non-player coach to win it. Kai Lohmann had four goals (highlights).
