10th	11th	12th
1964	Didn't make it in time for Grandma's funeral so I met everyone at the farm. Some discussion as to whether or not we should still do the campout. It was decided that it would be good for Grandpa and Rose to have us around.
1968	Kincy was there in bed in the morning but Steve's car was gone. He told us he took it in the middle of the night to to get alcohol and walked home. Kincy didn't tell us what happened, we had to figure it out and force parts of the story out of him. Eventually we passed a yard that had wheel marks on the lawn and tree smashed. Turned out that he crashed, but had no memory of how he got back to the farm nor what happened to the car. We walked into Sunset Beach and got a cab to take us into town [ed. - probably Prior Lake] and found the car that was completely totalled. So we called Mr. Daniels to come and get us. It was a very quiet ride home in that car.
1973	Sanders over for the first time - we had a meal (they brought a Penfold claret) and played 500.
1979	Sa - Got David from the hospital. He was bright and cheerful. Gave him a Matchbox double-decker bus and dragon book, pop (which Ne calls "beer"), ice cream and a bag of cheesies. Nathan (schoolmate) came and gave him a card and Ladybird book on gardens.
1980	M - Machine sucking water from sewer holes had the kids intrigued. Mom took kids to see Herbie Goes Bananas, while we signed up for a townhouse at Londin Lane in Maplewood. Chris called to say that he hit his head on a pipe jumping into a fishpond and has stitches. Angi moving to New York and selling out, so we went over and bought her long sofa, 2 trunks, 2 file cabinets, a bed base...
1981	T - Each morning I wait to hear what Jake (security guard) will say after I have shown him my ID card - "Very good" (rare), "Good", "Okay" "Thank You"...
1983	Th - Was mowing lawn when call came for a blowup. So I brought Lundholm in and he met Steiner (his first time in). Another truncated policy. Got home at 9:15PM. They gave me a clone kit and Gail a bottle of champagne.
1984	Sa - Went to Dieffenbach's - beautiful yard with gigantic veggie garden. Horses across the road. Played croquet while barbecuing pork chops which we enjoyed with a good Inglenook Grenache. Bought Paul's 24" Schwinn 10-speed bike for $65
1987	Began training Sharon A from Pipe Plant. Spent afternoon with Annette getting Tom Laffey's manuals onto the next phase. Letter from Ian with copy of an article of how three Indian checkout clerks were arrested because they gave a Fijian woman a small bag and gave a European a large one.
1990	Sanders for the evening. Got supper at the grand opening of KFC in Papakura. Mike and Gail went to get it and they ran into the Taylors. So now wonder what they might be thinking, eh?
1991	Whites came at 1:30PM for bridge until 6PM. Ian and I partnered. Kids played Game of Life and Jackie was on the computer. Gave them a brown boronia to replace the one I broke.
1994	Brought a computer into SAC so that meant an hour with Roy. Then 3 Guys and 10% off closing down sale. Soon-to-be unemployed checkout clerk, muttering about the crowds not being there in past. I muttered back, well, if your prices were lower...	mouse pad
1997	M - Day 35 of our 3 month journey around the world. See 1997 Trip Photo Journal.
1998	T - All day in library. Douglas Shanks gave me a retirement card, Goofy figurine and a Goofy mousepad. Shot over to Sandspit School to tell Cathy Newton that I would do their computer support.
2001	Called Dad to wish him a Happy Birthday, spoke to Rhonda who is having a caesarean section on Monday and Lavonne (her son Howard and Mary are visiting for a couple weeks). Found out about the Somalian invasion at the airport.
2002	Su - Was disappointed that there were no store advertizing sections or comics with the paper... found them in the recycle bag downstairs and they added up to twice the thickness of the rest of the paper. Met Sis when she came to pick up Lavonne for Emily's birthday at Rhonda's. Met Ceci when she and Chris came by to bring Dad and me to Lilli Putt photos. Everywhere we went these two ladies kept following us - think they were after my father. Mandarin Buffet where I think we ate for about three hours. Home to look at videos including a composite of Chris' for the past 6 years. Angi called.
2006	Rainbow out my window. Trish showed up in her new Hyundai to have lunch (she has students at Sandspit). She gave me a Goofy comic and a sign that she created. Spent the afternoon with Dee and her Skin4Life business. Found out that she and her husband are friends of Matthew. Trish was having a cuppa with Gail when I got home from getting a cake for Ann. Gail and Ann went to the usual Friday night haunt, Wendy's and had to go back to get a burger that had been missed. So we were just finishing when the others arrived for TP.
2007	Slept until 11:30AM and there was Brundell filled with lots of interesting stories. email from David who had an interview in Marshall. We joined Russell, who had fallen into a creek while trying to retrieve a golf ball, and went to the Warriors game. Oyster Boys played before with and without the music. 20,600 people and the place was loud as they creamed the Titans 30 - 6 (could have been more but for the usual ref problems). Rovelli had a hat trick.
2009	T - Super Clinic and Gail has the cast off and is back to walking with moon boot without crutches.
2010	W - email from Atmore (Ken given 18 months with cancer). Ducks have found our temporary pond in the east paddock. We bought a necklace for Emery at Vanilla.
2011	Th - Went unconditional and SOLD put up.
2012	Sa - Petanque with Ash and Anna. He told us about the 1951 Yacht race that was a disaster for him in the Astral (newspaper article). Colleen and Ne over for meal, a sweet McGuigan Merlot and "Lost Valley of the Dinosaurs".
2016	Th - David arrived at the usual time. After supper we played Kingdoms and 8ME-Lost Lands. After chocolate cake we played Kingdom Builders.
