1968	Kincy on leave from Army with arm out of cast, but he has a broken jaw and his mouth is wired shut making for some interesting conversations. Steve brought him over to see my apartment and to play some poker (I lost 14¢).
1975	Granite Falls. Drove over to the Upper-Sioux Reservation for an Ogala Pow Wow. David sat enthralled. Brightly colored dancers wore bells around their ankles and we sat right behind the bass drum. David didn't move - just stared for two hours. After the dancing there were speeches. I was moved to tears at the thought that this has been going on for thousands of years. 90% of audience were Indians and they seemed to carry on conversations etc... as if there were nothing going on in front of them. 1977	Bob Hayson arrived at 8PM and spent the night.
1980	Thunderstorm at 10AM, so I stripped and carried stuff to car in garage. Left Cleveland at 11AM. Lunch at Howard Johnson on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Shortly we found ourselves in Pittsburgh. Got as far as a 7-11 and called Gail's uncle Leland, who drove down and guided us to his place in Allison Park. Spent afternoon on porch talking. David "helped" Leland mow the lawn. Lee beat me in a game of jarts.
1984	Th - Gail got a bad pain at 2:30AM but didn't wake me until 5AM. Rushed over to Mounds Park hospital where they were suspcious of a kidney infection. Dr Johnson came at 7AM and his guess was a tubal infection, so the operation was cancelled and she was admitted so they could give her I.V. antibiotics. Once she was in room 562 and given a painkiller I went home (9AM). Kids stayed at Schwitters while I visited Gail.
1986	Sa - Mary and Owen came for a meal and visit. Had an Austrian moser.
1997	Sa - Day 26 of our 3 month journey around the world. See 1997 Trip Photo Journal.
1998	Su - Painted metal cupboard and collapsed. So I was laying in the floor at the base of the stairs when Doug and Graeme Phillips stopped in after a bike rally in Waiuku Forest. Listened to stories of Doug's early days at Jesmond Rd over a cup of coffee.
2001	Emery's where we did scanning lessons until Doug picked me up. I dropped him and Marcia off at the airport (week in Fiji) and he is letting me use his car.
2007	Bob Needham passed away overnight. Bridge collapsed in Minneapolis and made the news.
2008	Up at 8AM so I could get Mike Gawel at airport, on a layover to Samoa. Brought him home where we went through all of my Peace Corps stuff and his Fiji II book. Opened a bottle of Blackberry Nip for a toast to the 1973 session with the stuff. He called the Higgotts and spoke to Helen. Brought him back at 5PM.	Mike
2011	T - Gail and I drove to Ocean Shores and we were put up in the Motel Room. I had mixed up numbers between 106 and 109. But we were able to walk through Marie's place and note what we would want refurbished. Colleen's to have a celebratory drink of a Caudo '10 Shiraz and check out her new car. OSV to have supper with Brenda and Terry. 3 hours listening to their stories downing a Durbanville '10 CabSav/shiraz. Told us about faggots among other things. Introduced us to the nurse, Heather, who has a brother in Awhitu.
2013	F - David A on Super City in a non-speaking role.
2018	Th - I picked up David at 3PM. He went with me to 34OC to help move everything out of the garage back into house. Couple games of "Castles of Mad King Ludwig".
2019	F - Left at 4PM for Russell's. An air force helicopter came in and floated about for a minute. After a few minutes Raiders had 12 points and I predicted 50 - 0, as I often do. It was 30 - 0 at halftime. NZ Navy band played at halftime. Young gun Harris-Tavita scored two tries ruining my prediction. Ended up 46 - 12. Saw Russell's photos of James' (and Judy who turns out to be Thai) place and surrounds.
2024	F - Picked Gail up in the early afternoon. We hit New World for doughnuts, a place to get paprika and a Chicken thingie at Wendy's for Ne. Dropped Gail off at home then I went to Bayfair to get my reading glasses and our meds. Ne and dogs over to eat the doughnuts and play Arkopolis. We watched Hawks blow away Pies 133 - 67.
