	ME/CFS Awareness Day
1975	Wan-Q for a good meal and a Tom Collins. Almost got away without paying for the drinks but the waiter chased us down on Cummings Street. NTC, which has really changed, to look at a book display. Rabi Supermarket and Nausori where Ian walked up and down until he found a space gun to buy for Stevie. Flat tire about halfways home.
1980	M - Kids were playing shop when Chris held Renee (the shopkeeper) up. Since we didn't know that he was here it really scared Ne. Mom came down as a reporter "Snoop" Eva to get the facts. KMart to buy two 5 gallon jugs [ed. - still using them for emergency water in 2022].
1984	Sa - After supper we went to Cottage Grove Mini-Golf (50¢ a game) and had the place to ourselves - wave to the engineer as train goes past. Opened our expensive and excellent dry '79 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon.
1989	Joined Whites and Breezes for their first go at bowling. Everyone except Susi got a strike. Granny did well. Ian got a turkey. Just beat Chris with a 160. We got kicked out because a league was starting, so David didn't get to finish his game - new high of 126 in 9th. Everyone over to our place for fish n chips and airplane stories.
1991	We climbed Mt Mangere with the Whites including Heather and Mary. Then it was an evening of slides at their place.
1994	Doug over, just in time for supper. Celebrated our 20th anniversary of meeting by playing R'nR Scattergories.
2001	Went to Ericsson Stadium after dropping Russell off in an area of town I had never seen. Watched Otahuhu and Eastern Tornadoes slug it out in a good game. Meanwhile Chris was running all over the place getting helium balloons, "V"odafone cardboard hands and paper hats. The hands smelled foul and we eventually tossed them, we tied the balloons right next to me only discovered that the privet smell I picked up every once in awhile had been the latex. Adding to my woes, the Warriors were at their absolute worst and lost to Melbourne 40 - 20.
2002	Su - Went to Castle Golf where Gail played for free as it is Mother's Day. It was neck and neck on the first 9 holes and even at the 12th but I holed in one on the 15th then went on to birdie the remainder ending up 3 under par and 6 below Gail. Chatted with Ne - says Chardy will only eat roast chicken now. Chatted with Mike - Ann has sold her house.
2003	Simon arrived at 10:30AM and by noon we had his TR-7 on its way after spending 4 years in our front yard! Couple bottles of wine to celebrate its departure.
2007	Gail and I went to Aldersons' with a bucket of feijoas and a Sentura 2005 Pinot Gris. Peter (soon to be a grandfather) and Russel up for a fishing trip to Taupo. We had an excellent Argentine beef dish and Gail's feijoa crumble. Trish to court on Tuesday over Taz biting a neighbor. Found out about the wonders and uses of Transformer Oil. Watched the Warriors stink up the field with lousy kicks in another game that they should have won. Read match report at Worriers.
2008	Pukekohe Ultra Sound place. I went in for the pain in my right arm only to be told, by the lovely Suzanne, that both of my shoulders are injured!
2009	Up at 6AM to pick Newsy up at airport. I was amazed at how much traffic there was at that hour. Made it back to Waiuku for coffee with Gail. Did the grand tour of the yard. Gave Steve his first taste of persimmon and feijoa. After a curry supper Steve challenged me to a game of crib. We tried to figure his new shortwave radio, which was as much a problem as finding his way out of our kitchen. I went through his Richfield '66 yearbook and found photos of around 20 people that I remembered which I scanned.
2010	W - Spoke to Gail who has a cold and wading through Joyce's finances. Rainy day so it was garage where I tackled the camping gear and managed to whittle it down to half the amount. Gail called again - this time wanting to quit teaching. Watched Cougar Town.
2014	M - Russell and I went to Tauranga Racecourse where Shesgotit didn't, coming in last. Concensus was the jockey, Matthew Cameron, didn't follow instructions. Russell gave me an Owner ribbon to wear, so a fellow asked me how I go about getting a jockey, so I had to confess being an imposter. We watched 4 other races and Russell won a quinella. A couple games of Eight-Minute Empire before watching TV.	video.
2015	T - email to Newsy and I discovered an article about his amazing father. Lost the cribbage games. Watched Deja Vu.
2017	F - Watched Trial and Error. Finished watching thirtysomething series DVDs.
2018	Sa - Left at Noon and drove through rain (hydro-planing even) to get to Russell's only to find him cooking sausages unconcerned that the ISP game started at 2:45PM (I had emailed him that info). About twenty minutes up the line I asked if he had the passes - nope so back to TK. Made it to the stadium in time to see end of 11 - 0 ISP loss. Indigenous weekend so there was a long ceremony featuring Maori songs, hakas and speeches which upset Peter no end. The game was a disaster with Roosters beating us 26 - 0. I had worn my rain pants for the first time and sure enough no rain from TK to Auckland. On way home I picked up the rain before Matamata.
2023	F - email and photos from Senad (50Km race from hell). Watched Warriors 24 - Dogs 12 (highlights). Moved mattress to guest room where it is warmer than my room.
