1969 Hawaii: Details in Peace Corps Journal.
1972 Barbecue and billiards at Hayson's until 3AM.
1975 Gail decided to not drive to any families and Mom decided to stay another day until snow might be cleared from roads. Moved the kitchen table into the warm livingroom. Liquour store to get a supply of beer and an Isabell Rosé that we had while playing bridge.

1976 Useless "promotion": put in charge of textbooks. More work but not more pay. Ordering, issuing, care and maintenance. Woody is completely unorganized so the boss expects me to do another miracle and fortunately that is just the type of job that I love. If I didn't have something to organize I'd go crazy from boredom. Let Woody break the news to me and cry on my shoulder.
1980 W - Aldies were coralled by kids into playing Mouse Trap and Hungry Hippos. After supper we looked at slides until the bulb blew. Looked at Doug's photos.
1983 Sa - Called Dr Gillespie about my testicular pain. "Boring" Fausts over for home movies. Had a curry meal with a good '77 Weber Zeller Schwarze Katz, an excellent HMR '80 CabSav and an okay B+G '81 Beaujolais.
1988 Henderson to check out the first KMart in NZ. Big and good variety and a buzz being there - most modern setup in the country.
1989 Su - Auckland and to our spot on the ramp. Had to wait until 2:45PM before the Santa Parade got to us. Seemed to be the same floats as last year (video).

2003 email from Lamorna telling about her AZ exploits. email from Angie P (her trip to Tasmania). Barker's to pick up Ne's medicine - left it there yesterday as it would be too long to wait yesterday. Well, Don and Rochelle couldn't find it. So they'll redo. Gave me one box - and I say "No way; there were four sheets with multiple scripts. Looked again - finally found the documents and had not been done! So I waited a further 15 minutes. Brundell's for a sandwich made with a bread that he was poster boy for back in the 50's. When he was playing rugby he was spotted by Gordon Dryden and thus he became "Kenny Kent".
2004 First swim of the year (10 laps). HP has decided to give me a new laptop in exchange for the one that can't be fixed. They didn't have to as it is over a year out of warranty. Picked up our med refills (sat on outside bench reading until Don "delivered" them to me). Ian swam while Susi to work on her dalo plantation.
2008 Up at 8AM so I could get to chemist straight away and get morphine for Gail. They gave me 10 meds but not morph, as we needed a proper prescription. Over to the doctors' to put in a request for one. Removed toilet door and moved the bathroom sliding door along so we have a full opening.
2009 Th - Up with bad headache - so many flowers emitting their scents: Indian bead tree, white trumpet rhotodendrum being the nearest. And privet is out everywhere. Did laps which refreshed me. New World to get coffee - Susi says Ian hates his S.I. trip with Ian Miller and wife; and its the first day.
2011 Sa - Tauranga "Christmas at the Races" day with Ne and Russell to watch his horse, Landmine (10th) and brother Earl's: Appleton's Lass (6th). We sat in front row of a stand for about 3 hours watching 6 races. Didn't win anything because the horses we picked won whenever we hadn't placed a bet. Neither Harrison horse fared well, so it may be farewell to them (video). We farewelled Russell. Sat in shade of stand and it was cloudy (even drizzled for awhile), but I still got sunburnt!.

2013 T - Brought White's old TV to EnviroLab by hospital to recycle it ($5) as NZ switches to digital.
2014 W - 8 Minute Empire with Ian and then Indian takeaways. Followed by Euphoria and Dominion.
2019 T - A good thing we didn't move into the village at Nambucca Heads, NSW. The town is on fire, along with most of the east coast.
2021 F - Day 85 of Delta lockdown (3242 cases). Petrol at $4.50/l.
